"Harmony

This word alone could sum up the life and collection of Mr. and Mrs. C.

This eclectic collection will be dispersed over three days of sales.

As the hammer strikes, we'll be recounting their art of living in their apartment in

Cannes, in their home near the most beautiful avenue in Paris, and in the discreet

discretion of a vast property in the Yvelines.

Born in the 1930s, these two self-taught art lovers worked in the hotel

hotel and restaurant business. As young inn owners in Auvergne in the

1950s, they went on to live and enjoy great success in Paris from 1961, until their

their retirement in the 2000s.

They won a star for their restaurant "Le Mercure Galant", welcomed the whole of

Paris at "l'Atelier Maître Albert" opposite Notre-Dame (now owned by chef Guy

Savoy), and at the "Taverne du Sergent Recruteur" on the Île Saint-Louis.

They met and rubbed shoulders with the Paris of art, business and notoriety.

Mr. and Mrs. C. ran elegant tables, and for several decades set about

to build up an important collection over several decades, based on their discoveries

and their "coups de coeur" among art dealers and gallery owners, both in Paris and the surrounding region.

They tastefully furnish their properties, where the harmony of the family is matched by the harmony of colors

and the perfect harmony between decorative objects, contemporary paintings, furniture

and tableware.

Passionate about what they do, they bring together a number of pieces that have become out of the ordinary.

the avant-garde, acquiring important works of modern art from the

1960s to 1980s.

Mr. and Mrs. C. assembled this collection in three locations: the French Riviera, in

Paris near the Champs-Elysées, and in the Île-de-France region. Achieving harmony in each.
