The Hotchkiss AM 2 presented is in the collection since 1992; it was bought in good condition, however our collector wanted to restore the bodywork to bring it this nice color in adequacy with the black leather interior.
The body is not a factory torpedo and seems to be the work of an independent bodybuilder, a second torpedo with an identical body is known.
We can notice the perfect alignment of the doors and a very nice homogeneity of the whole body, both with the hood and without, the aesthetic codes of the torpedo are perfectly respected.
She is now in very good condition and has survived the years perfectly, the upholstery and interior woodwork are in very good condition and have been redone with great care, the fittings are complete.
The steering wheel has been redone, the doors and windows have no abnormal play, proof of the good health of the wooden structure.
The mechanics have been restarted after a three year stoppage, the engine is running well, the charging circuit will have to be checked, the exhauster has been disconnected and an electric pump has been installed for more reliability.
A revision of principle will be planned after this stop.
This car is interesting in more than one way because presented with this spacious and comfortable body, equipped with a reliable and torquey engine that Hotchkiss has the secret, it will be the ideal partner for Sunday rides or long distance rallies to find the forgotten sensations of an authentic pre-war era.
