This AM80 was acquired in November 1995 and was the subject of a complete restoration carried out by our collector over 8 years.
The car was complete, healthy and without any major modifications, which allowed a restoration as close as possible to the original and without any taste defect.
The quality of the restoration is to be underlined and this one perfectly crossed the years, which gives to the presentation of this Hotchkiss this beautiful aspect slightly patinated.
The interior has been redone in a fabric as close as possible to the original and is in very good condition and does not present any snags just like the imitation that covers the roof, the fittings are complete.
There's a nice rear trunk (the "car trunk"), but the speedometer is not original.
The mechanics have been restarted after a 3 years stop without difficulties, an electric fuel pump has been installed during the restoration for more reliability.
A leak in the cooling radiator was found.
We will have to plan a principle revision for this very beautiful sedan before serenely going back on the road with this great pre-war French classic.
