First edition of this important work decorated with 63 plates out of text showing several hundred figures. Precious copy from the library of the Swiss entomologist and mineralogist Henri de Saussure (1829-1905) with his stamp and ex-libris as well as a manuscript autograph from the author: "Dr. Henri de Saussure. With best regards of the author. Samuel Scudder."
