Sultanabad Cup Siliceous paste with black and cobalt decoration under transparent colourless glaze Iran, probably Kashan, 14th century With radiant cobalt and black decoration, different registers of floral motifs in negative and dotted sowing. The shape as well as the outer decoration of painted petals are inspired by Chinese celadon productions, on which a comparable lotus decoration was engraved.
