Silver perfume box. India, probably Deccan, 18th century This perfume container consists of a cup on a pedestal, in the center of which is fixed a small receptacle with a lid intended to contain perfumes (rose water, sandalwood, musk or jasmine). The dish is decorated with deep gadroons evoking flower petals, and with chiselled decoration of plant and floral friezes. The container with a gadrooned lid also evoking a flower.
