CENDRARS (Blaise). The End of the World filmed by the Angel N.-D. Roman. Paris, La Sirène, 1919. In-4, paperback. First edition, illustrated with color compositions by Fernand Léger. Ex. on unnumbered Lafuma vellum, enriched with this s. s. from the author : "to Madame Germaine Dulac, this first attempt at a scenario scenario, when I had never seen a camera before, very respectfully. Blaise Cendrars, Nice, June 1920". The director Germaine Dulac (1882-1942) had made her first film in 1915 (Les Soeurs ennemies); she was at the heart of the avant-garde of the 1920s, and we know that Cendrars was sensitive to this artistic novelty. Ex-libris M.-A. Colson. Stained and rubbed binding. Handled copy, stains and freckles, marked on the on the false-title.
