Frédéric MISTRAL (1830-1914). 6 L.A.S., Aix and Maillane 1862-1905, to Albert TOURNIER (3), deputy of Toulouse and organizer of the Félibrige in Paris, and to the marquis de VALORI (2), poet: 14 pages in-8. To the Marquis de VALORI 1862 and 1863, about the works of the Marquis: Beauchêne and Roger: "As soon as I am in Maillane, I will read Roger and I will write about it to Lamartine"; he promises him success. To Albert TOURNIER. 1888, about the eulogy he is to give of Aubanel (who died in November 1886) at the fêtes de Sceaux. February 12, 1889, he sends him the brochure of Captain Rovere which proposes Provençal as a diplomatic and international language. December 15, 1905, about Charloun Rieu, "an absolute primitive", and the Museon Arlaten for which he had the photos of "the women of the village of Bethmale in their royal costume and their rose beauty, which make our Arlesian women pale." Another letter to a friend (Maillane, December 2, 1889) refers to the félibréennes festivals organized in Occitania, and Mistral designates Tournier as "the herald of the tournaments, the messenger of the Gai-Paris"
