Rosa BONHEUR (1822-1899). Hunter with Trunk, at Rest. Pencil drawing enhanced with white chalk, signed lower left and dated. Wax stamp on the reverse of the Rosa Bonheur sale of 1900. H_29.8 cm W_34.9 cm, slight paper loss lower right. Note: Our work is thought to be a preparatory drawing for the detail of a painting entitled "Rendez-vous de chasse", known from photography and corresponding to no. 1700 in the artist's death sale in 1900.
