JACOB DESMALTER. - Lot 316
JACOB DESMALTER. Rare mahogany and mahogany veneer child's armchair. Circa 1830-1840. H_58 cm W_36 cm D_36 cm, glued accident and traces of woodworm on the edge of the belt. Although unsigned, we can safely attribute this child's armchair to Jacob Desmalter, circa 1830-1840. An identical adult armchair stamped JACOB is currently on display at the Galerie Jean-Marie Chapuis in Versailles (photo reproduced last, with his kind permission).
