Frédéric BARROIS (Paris, 1786 - Meaux, before 1880). Portrait of a man in three-quarter bust to the left, powdered hair, blue suit and ruffled shirt. Miniature on ivory signed on the left: Barrois. Empire period, circa 1810. Marked with a rooster. H_4.3 cm W_3.3 cm (as seen), in a medallion, probably gold, guilloché and enameled, suspended by four chains, hinged and forming a reliquary. H_5.3 cm W_4.3 cm (weeping glass), stains, dust. Gross weight: 25.64 grams, 18K, 750°/00 Provenance: coll. Paul Fourché (1840-1922) then by descent. Expert: N.
