Attributed to Antonia BRUNET de ANNAT née Antoinette BRUNET (active c. 1800-1825). Miniature on ivory on the lid of a circular tortoiseshell box, depicting a three-quarter-length brunette woman to the left, lace headdress, violet dress and lace wimple. First quarter of the 19th century. D_5.7 cm (as seen). H_2.1 cm D_6.7 cm, for the box. (weeping glass, slight damage to the box). Gross weight: 56 grams. Provenance: coll. Paul Fourché (1840-1922) then by descent. Expert: N. Lemoine-Bouchard, member of SFEP; a Cic will be issued, not allowing export outside the European Union.
