Circular gold and burl box, gold-lined interior, the lid adorned with a miniature depicting a woman with a diadem, high-waisted purple dress trimmed with fur. Empire period. Marked with a rooster. H_6.4 cm W_5.2 cm. H_2.2 cm D_8 cm, for the box. Gross weight: 86.13 grams, 18K, 750°/00, (gold leaf inside to be refixed; weeping glass). Provenance: coll. Paul Fourché (1840-1922) then by descent.
