Circular box in tortoiseshell and gilt brass, both sides decorated with fine miniatures on ivory depicting the Altar of Love and the Altar of Friendship after François Boucher. D_6 cm (when viewed). H_2.4 cm D_6.8 cm, for the box. Gross weight: 70 grams. Provenance: coll. Paul Fourché (1840-1922) then by descent. First half of the 19th century. Expert: N.
