Wooden and silver box, decorated with an enameled coat of arms, the lid engraved "à Jean Bouin, en souvenir de son séjour à Stockholm Juin-Juillet 1913". The rose gold clasp is adorned with a ruby-tinted glass cabochon. Hallmarks: Stockholm. Goldsmith: K. ANDERSON. H_7 cm W_19.5 cm D_12.5 cm. Gross weight: 1,620 grams, 800°/00; 14K, 585/00. Note: On July 6, 1913, Jean Bouin caused a sensation by breaking the world one-hour record in Stockholm, beating the 15,000-meter and 11-mile records in the process: he ran 19,021 meters, becoming the first person to exceed 19 kilometers in one hour.
