First edition of this famous gastronomic novel, dedicated to Brillat-Savarin, Curnonski, Gabion and Guy de Pourtalès. A veritable hymn to gastronomy and gourmandise, the novel describes the adventures of Dodin-Bouffant, a former magistrate who retired to the Jura and devoted his life to the table. Marcel Rouff, along with Curnonsky, co-authored the famous collection La France gastronomique. A copy by Charles Malexis, with an autograph letter from the author. Includes 5 L.A.S., including two on Tribune de Genève cards, addressed to Charles Malexis, on works addressed by Malexis. Provenance: Library of Charles Malexis (1879-1959)
