Gendarme helmet on horseback, model 1912 (Lescot). Brass shell (a few small dents) is signed Siraudin in Paris. Scale chinstraps mounted on leather are hallmarked. The faceplate is decorated with a pomegranate and laurel leaves. Plumet holder secured by two screws. Crest with gaudrons topped by a horsehair brush and ponytail. Leather interior (wolf's teeth) with manufacturer's stamp. 18 cm tricolor plume with silver-plated guilloche olive, in metal case. Very good condition.
