Lot of correspondence, in an envelope addressed to Mr. David BECCARIA in Maria Elena VIEIRA DA SILVA's handwriting: - three lithographed cards (Jacomet process), including two by VIEIRA DA SILVA and one by Arpad SZENES, with autograph signed dispatch, - a card depicting a nativity, with VIEIRA DA SILVA's autograph, - two letters of correspondence addressed to the couple by David Beccaria and one received in return as a thank-you from a close friend of VIEIRA DA SILVA, - two invitation cards to the opening of the 1977 VIEIRA DA SILVA exhibition, - a newspaper clipping. Also included: VALLIER (Dora) & VIEIRA DA SILVA (Maria Elena, ill). La peinture de Vieira Da Silva: chemin d'approche. Éditions Weber, Paris, 1971. One volume in-4 with printed cover. Numerous color illustrations in the text. Enriched with an autograph letter signed on the first page "Pour David Beccaria avec mon amitié - Vieira Da Silva". Provenance: former David Beccaria collection, Nice. David Beccaria ran an ice-cream shop at 2 Cours Saleya, frequented by artists, particularly those of the Ecole de Nice. An enthusiastic and highly regarded artist, he built up an important collection of works by his contemporaries.
