Omega and the Olympic Games, two inseparable elements.
The brand has assisted this event 31 times in the role of timekeeper, bringing various improvements and innovations. This chronograph is a good illustration of this history, as this reference was used at the 1947 Olympic Games in St-Morritz and London.
The red hand on this chronograph is the split-seconds hand, a complication for measuring intermediate times.
To better protect this tool, it was fitted with leather or plastic protection. Our lot includes a case reference W1739 dating from the 1960s.
