OMEGA Seamaster Calendar Gold. Gold self-winding wristwatch. Round case in 18K gold 750 thousandths (eagle-head hallmark), smooth bezel, polygonal crown, clipped back. Dial: cream with speckled patina, applied gilded hour markers and Arabic numerals at "12-3-9", painted black baton minute track, gilded dauphine hands, gilded central baton seconds, date window at 6 o'clock, applied logo. Movement: mechanical self-winding "bumper". Caliber 352 17 jewels - Numbered: 11226709 (circa 1947). Case, dial and movement signed. Case dimensions: 35 mm. Leather strap with Omega buckle. Gross weight: 51.83 gr. This Seamaster demonstrates Omega's desire to offer water-resistant watches to its clientele, an issue to which the brand responded when it equipped the British army with timepieces. A far cry from the diving watches offered by the range, it nevertheless lays the foundations for the Seamaster. The dial of this timepiece features the stylized S of the first Seamaster series. Another distinctive feature is the trapezoidal date aperture that hugs the circumference of the dial.
