OMEGA Seamaster Mariner Quartz - Reference 196.0054. Steel quartz wristwatch. Steel truncated-pyramid case, smooth screw-down bezel, fluted crown, clipped caseback with Seamaster medallion and seahorse logo. Grey dial, applied grey baton hour markers with a dot of luminescent patina paint at each end, painted white baton minute track, white syringe hands with luminescent patina paint, grey central baton seconds, day and date window at 3 o'clock in French, applied logo. Movement: quartz. Caliber 1310 8 jewels - Numbered 37506498 (circa 1973). Case, dial and movement signed. Case dimensions: 41 x 38 mm. Integrated Omega steel bracelet with Omega folding clasp. Reference 1268/241. This Seamaster reference is accompanied by an excellent communication campaign emphasizing the robustness of the brand's watches. During the 1976 OSTAR, a maritime race known today as the CIC Transat, 4 Mariner watches were fitted to catamarans. And these were the only timepieces to remain unaffected by the extreme conditions of the race.
