OMEGA Seamaster Chronostop Régate - Reference 145.008. Steel bracelet chronograph with manual winding. Steel tonneau case, polychrome inner bezel with rotating graduation and numerals, round push-piece, fluted crowns, screw-down caseback with Seamaster medallion logo and seahorse. Black dial, grey applied baton hour markers with luminescent dots at the ends, painted black checkerboard minute track, white baton hands with luminescent paint highlights, central chronograph hand with orange arrow, painted logo. Movement: hand-wound mechanical. Caliber 865 17 jewels - Numbered 29614348 (circa 1970). Case, dial and movement signed. Case dimensions: 40 mm. Omega black leather strap with Omega buckle. Aimed at a young, sports-loving public, the Chronostop was launched in 1966 and enjoyed considerable publicity, notably by equipping certain teams of timekeepers for certain sporting competitions, such as a competition organized in 1970 by Omega and supported by the Italian government. This reference is designed for maritime sports, with its colored rotating internal bezel and water resistance.
