Following several successes for the brand, such as the Speedmaster for lunar landings, or the Seamaster "Ploprof" for deep-sea missions, Omega took up the challenge of the aviator's watch. Civil aviation exploded in the 70s, with supersonic flights such as the famous Concorde, which was equipped with Omega clocks and chronographs.
All the elements needed for an aviator are present, with a large, colorful dial for easy information gathering, and a GMT hand in a shape reminiscent of the Concorde, giving the wearer the time of arrival at his destination. This first-generation model is recognizable by its biton day/night indicator at 9 o'clock.
This version is even more exclusive with its gold case, produced in an edition of 200, the first of which was sold to King Hussein of Jordan.
