OMEGA Speedmaster Automatic - Reference 176.016. Self-winding steel bracelet chronograph. Barrel case, smooth bezel, graduated internal tachometric scale, fluted crown, round pushers, screw-down caseback engraved in Seamaster medallion format with seahorse. Blue dial, painted baton hour markers, white baton minute track, white baton hands with luminescent patina paint highlights, perpetual seconds at 9 o'clock, elapsed minutes totalizer in center with plane and hour hand (on 12 o'clock) at 6 o'clock, central arrow second hand for chronograph function painted in white, 24-hour day/night indication at 12 o'clock, day and date window in French at 3 o'clock, painted logo. Movement: mechanical self-winding. Caliber 1045 17 jewels - Numbered 39190389 (circa 1975). Case, dial and movement signed. Case dimensions: 40 x 40 mm. Omega leather strap with Omega folding clasp. This version of the Speedmaster marketed in 1974 with the 1045 automatic movement features several complications new to this model (e.g. a day-night indicator via a 24-hour scale), all in an atypical and rare case for a Speedmaster.
