The second generation of the Speedmaster, it introduces an internal tachometric bezel, the 861 caliber that replaces the legendary 321 of space mission Speedmasters, and the arrival of brighter colors, including the orange that was fashionable in the 70s. These bright colors make it easier for the user to pick up information.
The "racing" moniker takes on its full meaning when we look closely at the dial of this chronograph, with its timer that may remind us of the chequered flag of motor racing.
The dial reveals a patina known as tropical grey, time having done its work on this timepiece by modifying the original color to give us a unique light grey.
