A horological complication first used in 1830 by a French watchmaker named Antoine Blondeau for a prestigious client: King Louis-Philippe I. This complication arrived at a turning point in watchmaking, the democratization of watches. The purpose of this complication was to make it easier to read the time, thanks to the reading aperture. Introduced in 1996, the De Ville Prestige Tonneau range offers watch lovers a dressy gentleman's watch, and for this 3713-piece reference, a beautiful complication.
