This watch is a perfect illustration of Omega's quest for precision, with the Battelle Institute in Geneva as its partner.
After a meticulous and painstaking gestation period, this version of the Megaquartz was presented in prototype form at the 1970 Basel Fair with the 1,500 caliber.
The first commercialized version was presented in 1972 with the 1510, the first watch to feature time adjustment without changing the placement of the minute hand.
Thanks to its very high frequency.
