OMEGA Car Clock - Reference MA 300. Hand-wound clocks. Round black dial, white painted Arabic numerals, white painted minute track, openworked apple hands, small seconds at 6 o'clock, painted logo. Movement: hand-wound mechanical. Calibre 59 8-D CLEF 15 rubies - Numbered 11017236 (circa 1947). Movement and dial signed. Case size: 84 mm. Omega offered watches for early cars, which were considered a sign of wealth. While these watches were undeniably refined, they were also useful for keeping track of driving times and range. This model was installed on the dashboards of Saurer mail buses from 1934 onwards. It is anchored in the dashboard, and to wind or change the time, it is pivoted on its hinge.
