Pair of four-light gilt bronze arrow sconces with hunting horns.
The arrow-shaped shaft is surmounted by a mascaron of Diana the Huntress and finished with palmettes.
Each bears the C mark and number 1781 engraved on the back (one partially erased).

Our sconces are a reworking of the sconces delivered on September 21, 1806 for the large reception room of the French Secretary of State's office in Fontainebleau. An identical model was also delivered for the dining room of the Grand Trianon in Versailles in 1809.
