J&A. JUMP in London. Small violin cartel in red-tinted tortoiseshell veneer and Boulle brass marquetry. It stands on four chased and gilded lion-legged legs. The base is decorated with a shell. The guilloché and black-enameled metal dial with Roman numerals is signed J&A. JUMP LONDON. Complete with key and pendulum. English work, mid-19th century. H_26 cm W_16.3 cm D_12 cm, slight brass lifting, missing stamp. Provenance: Anthony WOODBURN, Ashcombe house, east Sussex.
