In-4 in gray percaline (signed Engel) richly decorated in black and gold with: frontispiece, (2), III, (1), 320 pages, XXXI plates of Japanese ceramics ; 28 pages of Japanese monograms. French edition illustrated with 32 hors-texte, 16 of which in chromolithography, and 27 in-text engravings. This edition is a reduction of the two folio volumes published under the same title in seven issues from 1877 to 1879, and was a real success. A rare reference work for enthusiasts of Japanese ceramic art. Binding rubbed.
