Set of greeting cards and invitations to openings at the Maeght Foundation.
Set of 13 illustrated cards from artists exhibited at the Fondation Maeght, including: vernissage invitations (around the Revue Blanche in 1966; Marc Chagall in 1962; Paul Klee in 1977; Alberto Giacometti in 1978) adorned with lithographs of the exhibited artists; illustrated greeting cards (one undated with an original lithograph by Marc Chagall; 1953 with a lithograph by Georges Braque; 1960 adorned with an original lithograph by Marc Chagall; 1961 adorned with an aquatint by P. Tal-Coat; 1963 with an original etching by Marc Chagall; 1964 adorned with an original etching by P. Tal-Coat; 1964 adorned with an original etching by Marc Chagall. Tal-Coat; 1963 with an original engraving by Marc Chagall; 1964 with a drypoint by Joan Miro). Most of the cards are signed by Louis Clayeux, a gallery owner, art critic and collector from Charité sur Loire, who was artistic director of Galerie Maegh from 1948 to 1965.
Enclosed is an invitation to the first visit to Antoine Bourdelle's studios in 1938, as well as small lithographs by Matisse and Chagall.
