VERVE. - Lot 72
VERVE. Artistic and literary review. VOL. VIII n°29 and 30. Suite of 180 drawings by Picasso (November 28, 1853 - February 3, 1954) published by Verve magazine in Paris in 1954. An in-folio volume in the publisher's polychrome boards, based on a layout specially composed by Picasso. Collection of sixteen off-text color lithographs printed by Mourlot, and one hundred and sixty-four full-page black drawings reproduced in heliogravure by Draeger Frères, preceded by an introduction by Tériade and texts by Michel Leiris and Rebecca West. Rare. A pleasant copy despite the rubbed cover and slightly dulled corners.
