Facsimile of the 1783 edition. Illustrated with 193 portraits and 17 plates, published under the auspices of the Société Cincinnati de France. A work to the glory of the Society of Cincinnati, to perpetuate the memory of the circumstances that led to the independence of the United States, and of the fraternity of arms that united American and French officers during the battles they fought together. Label of the Clavreuil bookshop, Paris VI, on the front flyleaf. A fine copy, with wide margins and a very fresh interior. Slight tear to frontispiece, but not missing.
