RAMBUTEAU (Comte de). Memoirs published by his grandson with an introduction and notes by Georges Lequin, in Paris by Calmann-Lévy éditeurs in 1905. In-8 full blue cloth, smooth spine with title page, XVI and 402 pages. First edition of the memoirs of this high-ranking civil servant of the first half of the 19th century. Rambuteau was a Conseiller d'État and Peer of France, as well as Prefect of the Seine from 1833 to 1848. He participated in the transformation of Paris that Haussmann continued. A pleasant copy.
