DUPIN (André-Marie-Jean-Jacques). This work, published with no author credit, is by André-Marie-Jean-Jacques Dupin (1783-1865), a lawyer from the Nivernais region, who revisits the Duc d'Enghien affair: the kidnapping on the territory of the Electorate of Baden of Louis Antoine de Bourbon-Condé, Duc d'Enghien, grandson of the Prince de Condé, linked to the royalist émigrés and suspected of involvement in Georges Cadoudal's conspiracy, following an operation by the secret police headed by Savary and led by General Ordener. The prince was summarily tried and executed in the moat of the Château de Vincennes on March 21, 1804. The documents presented in this book call into question the judgment handed down at the time.
