Exceptional set of works by Paul Fort, from the collection la France à travers les Ballades françaises, from the Armand Jules Klein typography in Paris: - L'amour, enfant de Bohème, paperback, unpaginated, completed in March 1930. First off-market edition, one of 200 copies on Arches laid paper, countersigned by the author, with a dedication and a handwritten page. Copy specially printed for Jules Riollot. Frontispiece by Igniacio Zuloaga. A fine copy. - Contes de ma sœur l'Oie, paperback, unpaginated, completed in November 1931. First off-market edition, printed on vergé d'arches, specially printed for Jules Riollot. Enriched with a signed and dated autograph letter from Paul Fort to Jules Riollot: "ce livre où Merlin l'enchanteur, Richard Coeur-de-Lion et Jean Racine jouent à cache cache sous le vol des fées", followed by a handwritten poem. Frontispiece, headbands and tailpieces by Gino Severini. A fine copy. -L'homme tombé du paradis, small Gallic novel, paperback, unpaginated, completed in November 1932. Non-trade first edition, one of the copies on Arches laid paper, countersigned by the author, accompanied by a dedication and a handwritten page for Jules Riollot "ce conte féérique, mais un peu misiègle où Dieu -et même le diable et les gendarmes ont raison du dernier fou". A fine copy. - Chants du malheur et chansons du bonheur, paperback, unpaginated, completed in October 1935. First off-market edition, printed on vergé d'arches, specially printed for Jules Riollot. Enriched copy with a signed and dated autograph letter from Paul Fort to Jules Riollot: "... who, granting me his esteem, was kind enough, in these years of disgrace for all and for letters, to show himself the friend of an old poet of old France whom the lady with the faulx was watching out for (hence this delay...) but at last the villain has just run away!
