Souvenirs of the President of the Dijon Parliament. Extracts from an unpublished autograph manuscript containing curious details on various 17th and 18th century characters, printed in Paris, undated (1866). "Sold at all bibliophile booksellers.

Rare. Printed at the expense of two librarians who propose to publish in the same format a selection of unpublished memoirs from all periods. Jean Bouhier (1673-1746) was a French jurisconsult and magistrate, as well as a historian, translator and member of the Académie Française; he is presented in the introduction to his memoirs as a highly erudite man, a good writer, not without a sense of humor and storytelling: "It's not every day you come across such an amusing historical document, nor such amusing anecdotes that are truly historical".
