Three publications about La Machine written by L-M Poussereau, member of the Société nivernaise des Lettres, sciences et arts in Saint Benin d'Azy, employee of Houillères de La Machine, winner of the Société d'encouragement au bien and various literary competitions: - Les Houillères de la Machine (Nièvre) A book dedicated to the miners of La Machine, published by Vallière in Nevers in 1901. Study published in the Revue du Nivernais edited by Achille Millien the same year. In-8, 52 pages. Illustrated with the author's drawings, engraved in black, depicting the machines and internal workings of the Mine, and including a collection of Machinois expressions at the end of the volume. A fine copy. - Les fouilles du vieux château de Barbarie, commune de la Machine by De Saint Venant, correspondent for the Ministry of Public Instruction, and Poussereau. Extract from the Bulletin archéologique of 1906. Offprint, published in Paris by the imprimerie nationale in 1906. Copy enriched with a letter from Pousserau to Hanoteau, historian from Decize. In-8, 20 pages, with black figures in the text. -Changes that have occurred in the last hundred years in the general condition of the workers at the Houillère de la Machine (Nièvre). Extract from the bulletin des sciences économiques et sociales du Comité de travaux historiques et scientifiques (years 1923-1925). Offprinted in Paris, at the imprimerie nationale in 1926.
