ÉMILE GALLÉ (1846-1904).
"Flight of butterflies among country flowers".
Three-drawer in-between chest of drawers with a historicizing form evoking 18th-century German Baroque.
The projecting corner uprights, each continuing into a base, are carved in walnut - the fronts are recessed.
The title decoration on the front, sides and top is inlaid with precious and indigenous woods.
The front crosspiece and lower sides are scrolled and finished with a walnut molding.
Late 19th century.
Artist's monogram to the right of the belt.
H. 77.5 cm - W. 63 cm - D. 42.5 cm
Condition of use, two marquetry chips on a flower
top drawer.
