Louis-Léopold BOILLY (1761-1845), after. Les déménagements. Enhanced with gouache, signed in the plate lower left and dated 1840. H_40.5 cm W_54 cm (unframed), some scratches and missing parts. Wood and gilded stucco frame with palmettes This engraving reproduces the oil on canvas of the same name exhibited at the Musée Cognacq-Jay in Paris. A chronicler of his time, Louis-Léopold Boilly drew a true portrait of the capital in the early 19th century with his "Parisian chronicles", of which this engraving is an example.
