Since the launch of the Constellation collection in 1952, the caseback of every watch has featured the same emblem: that of an astronomical observatory. This motif, inspired by observatory competitions, represents the dome of an observatory surrounded by eight stars, a reference to Omega's eight victories in the annual chronometry competitions organized by observatories between 1945 and 1952.
CONDITION REPORT (indicative):
Movement operational at the time of catalog writing. Unsigned bracelet (eagle-head hallmark). Dial with patina. Several watchmaker's markings on caseback. Overhaul recommended. Please note that all watches are sold as is. No warranty on function. Most watches have been opened to identify movement type and quality, including water-resistant watches, so the buyer is advised to consult a watchmaker to review the water-resistance of the watch.
