Gold pin buckle, signed. Diameter: 22 mm. Gross weight: 29.00 g. With Piaget service pouch. Provenance: Amateur collection. Introduced in 1979, the Polo is a resolutely modern sports-chic model. The brand's first unisex watch, it is still one of the company's bestsellers today. In 2010, in his autobiography published by Éditions du Cherche-Midi, Yves Piaget looks back on the success of this design, which was "no longer a wristwatch, but an audaciously styled bracelet-watch, because the watch was completely integrated into the bracelet". Relaunched in style in 2024 to celebrate the brand's 150ᵉ anniversary, the Polo is definitely an intergenerational watch. Our example, manufactured in 1983, is a particularly well-preserved vintage piece. We thank the House of Piaget for its kind collaboration.
