LORRIS (Guillaume de) & HUBERT (André, ill.) le Roman de la Rose. Les éditions de l'Ibis, Paris, 1965-69. 2 vols. in-4, publisher's basane binding, boards and spines cold-stamped with fleurons, gilt heads. The upper boards are decorated with an imitation ivory plate depicting a man and an angel in medieval style. In cardboard slipcases. Illustrated with color reproductions, polychrome and gilded floral frames by André Hubert. Edition of 1179 copies, these no. 53 and 279 on Lana wove paper, complete with two translation booklets and a black-and-white suite. a few stains to the wrappers, wear, one plate to be glued back.
