MARMOL CARVAJAL (Luis del) ; PERROT D'ABLANCOURT (Nicolas), trans. L'Afrique de Marmol, de la traduction de N. Perrot sieur d'Ablancourt, divisée en trois volumes, et enrichie des cartes géographiques de M. Sanfon, géographe ordinaire du Roy. Paris, chez Louis Billaine, 1667. Two volumes in-4 (third volume missing). Glued bookplate of Charles Denis de Cuzieu (1764-1848, military officer from Lyon), cavalry captain in the Artois regiment [...]. Bound in contemporary basane with five-ribbed spine decorated in gold, title and tomaison. The volumes are complete with engraved maps, with the exception of 4 pages (cut) after the text of volume 1. Few freckles, interior in good condition; binding with patina of the time, accidents to jaws, lacks to headpieces.
