HENRI RAPIN (1873-1939) OR SCHOOL OF - FROM AN IMPORTANT DECORATION OF A HOUSE IN CHER MADE AROUND 1900-1910 Lower part of a two-top walnut sellette. The four architectural legs are evocative of history; the top is in four quarters and attached by keys (wood) to the base. H. 56 cm - L. 48 cm - W. 48 cm Used condition, top missing, legs cut later, accidents. Provenance : From a very important decoration made around 1900-1910 for the Rétif family estate (horse-drawn carriage factory) in the Cher region, which attracted many artists from the owners' circle of friends. Two medallion paintings signed Henri Rapin and painted directly on the living room doors are still in place in the house. Expert : Emmanuel Eyraud
