Black dial, applied hour markers, luminescent hands, central second hand, date window, signed. Automatic movement, signed. Rubber strap. Buckle signed. Diam. 40 mm. Founded by Josef Wyss in 1951 in Bettlach, Switzerland, in a region renowned for its watchmaking tradition, the Jowissa brand set itself apart from traditional manufacturers by making the watch a fashion accessory in its own right. In the 1960s, Jowissa enjoyed resounding success with its pendant watches, in the 1970s the brand introduced ceramics into its production, and from the 1990s onwards it introduced unusual materials and a line of watches made of wood and stones. Today, Jowissa is distributed through 400 points of sale worldwide and has a boutique in Lucerne. CONDITION REPORT (indicative) : Movement operational at time of catalog writing.
