Michel-Louis Monnier (1739-1835).
Jurisdiction of Dijon, community (jurande) of Autun, 1784.
Three silver forks 958°/00.

Weight: 257g.
Monnier was appointed Master of the Dijon Mint in 1763.
A respected notable, he founded the Autun masonic lodge "La Bonne Intelligence" in 1772.
In 1783, he became king of the bird in the arquebus game, and was exempted from the taille for the following year by Louis XVI.
In 1784, he became First Guard of the Jurande d'Autun.
In 1790, Monnier was appointed officer of the Autun municipality, and had the Arquebuse flag placed in the vaults of Saint-Lazare cathedral.
