Jean HÉLION (1904-1987). Sortie de P... en catastrophe (III) - 1977. Grease pencil, charcoal and gouache on blue Canson paper, doubly monogrammed H. and dated on the right, titled, signed and dated on the back. H_110 cm W_75 cm. Provenance: Galerie Marwan Hoss, Paris (label on back). This work formerly benefited from a certificate from Madame Jacqueline Hélion (duplicate dated 10/20/2005 of a first certificate dated 12/18/1992), a trace of which has been lost by its owner (not supplied). Our work will appear in the Catalogue Raisonné of works on paper currently being prepared by the Association Jean Hélion. We would like to thank Mr. Clovis Vail, the artist's son-in-law and head of the Association Jean Hélion, who kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work.
