JONONE (born 1963, John Andrew PERELLO). Spring Time - 2010. Large airbrushed and acrylic canvas (rolled, without stretcher), signed, located Paris, titled and dated on the back. H_160.5 cm L_162.5 cm (total) [Judicial lot, fees reduced to 14.28% incl. tax]. Note: Produced in 2010 in Paris, this large canvas fully illustrates JONONE's artistic maturity in the decade following his move to France. Spring Time is characterized by an abundance of composition, combining bursts of vivid color, superimposed calligraphic lines and energetic gestural bursts. This work bears witness to the unique plastic language that JONONE developed in the 2000s, between lyrical abstraction and the heritage of New York graffiti, transposed here into a free pictorial format. In Spring Time, we find the liberated gesture, chromatic intensity and spontaneity that have made JONONE one of the leading exponents of contemporary street art on the international scene.
